Research Point: Contemporary Awareness 2

Look briefly at the website of each of the photographers to get a general picture, then pick five or six artists (more if you have time) to explore in more detail. Present your findings along with reference images in your learning log or blog.

    I found this link Eddy http://uk.lumas.com/pictures/jose_ramon_ais/hierbas_1/ that gives a bit of explanation as to how he achieved this. They are beautiful (if we’re allowed to say that!).

      I followed through on that link , thanks Catherine, and read up about ‘Chroma Keying’. I’m not sure if you did, but an explanation for anyone else, it’s the technical term for blue screen or green screen, which itself is an interesting point as he was using this, masterfully, in the early seventies! The technique is more commonly associated with video and film work as it’s a real-time technique. My guess is he was way ahead of his time with this.

      And yes, I’d say it’s permissible to say they’re beautiful, I do.
